Italy s tasty cuisine gave the world not only pizza, but a multitude of extraordinary recipes with fish and sea food. Trattoria Roma - a chain which purchased a third location, after the success and reputation gained with Roma Trattorias in Eminescu and Dorobanti area - is dedicated to the latter. The third Trattoria Roma can be found dominating the Opera area, on no.1. Doctor Lister since August 2008.
Don t confound them with other locations with similar names which aren t related in any way with the chain of Roma trattorias.
 Benefiting from recent investments, the restaurant is divided into the following spaces: 50 seats for smokers, 20 seats for the other side – the non-smokers, 40 persons can spend their time at the semi-basement in a nice intimate lounge, plus the covered summer terrace which can host 30 guests.
In Italy Tratoria is one of the most famous gourmet institutions. The services are less formal and rigid than those of a classical restaurant and the relation with the customers is warmer, with a personal note. The consumers fidelity enables the restaurants staff to know very well their tastes and preferences.
Trattoria Roma is a peculiar type among the multitude of trattorias on the specialized market. The waiter comes to your table only when you beckon him over and has a good command of English, Italian and Russian.
The traditional Italian setting in shades of brown and the warm light-green spots of the curtains have a studied simplicity. The seeming monotony is broken by the paintings, which, together with the Italian music, complete the Trattoria Roma-branded atmosphere.
 Much has been written about Trattoria Roma throughout the town, the culinary chronicles being signed by celebrities in this domain. The fish specialties, the sea food and the acknowledged recipes in Rome area have constantly drawn and retained the public s attention. Fortunately you won t find pizza here. The bilingual menu (in Romanian and Italian), displayed at the entrance in the sweet peninsular style, proposes you to decide between:
- antipasti (prosciutto, Parmesan, rucolla),
- fish (tunny, sword fish, spigola, dorada),
- sea food (octopus, mussel, cuttlefish, squid, shrimps, sea shells),
- beef dishes (T Bone Steak, Loin, Chuck).
The dessert comes as a coronation for a good meal: tiramisu, crème caramel and a fruit & ice-cream salad.
The palette of wines is large and takes you through the vineyards of Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, Chile or those of the motherland (the dry ones).
We convinced ourselves that the tradition of the Romanian cuisine in Rome s area is kept here. Everything is fresh because the supply is made three times a week. The fish obediently waits to find its match on a bed of ice in the frigorific glass-case at the entrance. Easy, fresh and healthy = Restaurant Trattoria Roma.
The word trattoria is related to the French term “traiteur”, which designates a catering-type business who s single "raison d être" is the take away food. Speaking of food for home Trattoria Roma provides this service as well. Confidently resort to it and buon appetito!
