At Planet Restaurant you will find under this concept both an interior fashionably polished and decked and menus updated according to the season and the customers’ desires. The 160 seats inside and the 100 seats from the terrace recommend themselves by their very nature, being adequate for any festivity in large numbers.
Placed in a quiet area so that you can enjoy the food cooked with passion, in the immediate vicinity of Piata Iancului, “Planet” Restaurant has gained for seven years now an unparalleled reputation as regards the excellent organization of special events. Architectonically conceived to be a House of Weddings and special events, “Planet” Restaurant appeared out of the desire to satisfy the standards mentioned before.
 Bogdan Visoiu, the pub’s owner, selected into his team the excellence in matters of hospitality and skillfulness and the 16 hours spent here ensure the constant observance of quality. Each season “Planet” Restaurant includes into its menu dishes specific to that certain season. It adjusts itself to any request. There is no “can’t do” and with a preliminary programming they can provide a traditional or fish meal, etc.
History of “Planet” In 1999, carrying into effect an older dream, Bogdan Visoiu starts building the “Planet” restaurant, after 18 months of preparations, market research and research on the HoReCa domain. Being extremely exigent, he states that he didn’t mean to know how to cook by the book, but he trained his eyes and learned some of the secrets of each menu.
Being in his turn a person who used to eat at the restaurant, he didn’t want the customers to face inadmissible problems in his own restaurant: gram weight differences, the use of poor quality or completely unnatural ingredients, the loss of quality over time and the lack of attention to the smallest details as regards the staff. He managed to inspire the idea that at “Planet” you won’t tremble with fear at the thought that you are going to be cheated with regard to quantity or that you are going to wait unwelcome.
Cuisine The beginnings of “Planet” restaurant were related to barbecue. Over time both the tastes and the trends evolved. At “Planet” you can find each time the dishes that are trendy in Bucharest. The food cooked at “Planet” restaurant is to the taste of those from home. All the dishes are made at request, are natural and lack any kind of preservative substances or other powder.
As the food accompanied by sauces dominates the market, “Planet” prepares its sauces in its own kitchen. The owner, Mr. Visoiu, is a gormandizer who appreciates the Arabian food and sushi. According to him, any traditional food has to be made by a native specialist, therefore at “Planet” the cooks are hand picked.
