The “CUBE” café’s space is witness to pinching, romantic, funny, and relaxing discussions, to lovers’ whispers or to the short whispers of some new hasty partners who have just struck a bargain “to move heaven and earth”.
Placed - since 2007 - in the very centre of Bucharest, where there is a maximum concentration of people fond of coffee-based fantasies, CUBE café daily lays on the line cold/hot coffee, over 45 types of cocktails, and light food. As you leave the Piata Romana area toward Dorobanti, the neon lamps of CUBE café cannot escape your visual field.
With the interior in a futuristic key, the regular hexahedron can be found in every space of the café. Cubic stools, square furniture, couches in straight lines and even cubic ceiling and lighting objects. Behind the bar a big mirror visually multiplies the surface. The big windows look out on the avenue.
The shades of coffee and milk have been borrowed to the walls of the central room. The setting is playful on the whole. The couches from the lounge appeal to most of the customers through the intimacy they provide and that is why it is full most of the time. Those who really want to detach themselves from the world are invited in the private room endowed with a single table. We recommend it for lovers or for “business” meetings.
There is a saying according to which behind a successful woman there is a significant amount of coffee. This also applies to men to a large extent. Located just a stone’s throw away from ASE, CUBE café is visited by students, but also by businessmen who happen to be in the area.
CUBE café also distinguishes itself through its timetable. The latter is atypical for a café, as it is prolonged until 3.00 – 4.00 a.m. One can hear lounge-style music but also club songs, mixes and the hits of the moment.
 What we liked to see was that the barman of CUBE café makes cocktails that cannot be found in the menu’s pages. He plays with the decorations of the glasses, assorts them and literally dresses them with accessories and fruits. The preparation and serving of the liquors is in itself a mini-show of skillfulness.
The croissants and cakes are the best cards that bring an extra savour to an early visit to CUBE café. The tariffs oscillate as follows: a coffee costs 7-10 lei, a cocktail 15-17 lei and the beer 9-11 lei.
What are the dishes from Cube’s menu which will enable you not to fail:
A sweetish French vanilla latte or a boobo’s special with a load of pineapple, grenadines, curacao and grapefruit. For a light snack a Caesar salad and a “Cube” sandwich with a lot of hard cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers and schnitzel will do.
We’ve heard that the staff has a good command of English and Spanish.
Cube café with an ultra-central position, an offering menu (including catering) and view and a pleasant ambience can only inspire you for a reunion among friends. You can invite up to 50 participants and don’t forget that the food is provided according to your wishes.
