 During the lunch hours the restaurant is invaded by those who have their offices in the perimeter of Marasesti Avenue, in the evening there are many young people, and on the week-end groups of friends feast away forgetting about time and sing on each other’s shoulder at a wine/beer or hard liquor, after they eat from the rich menu Roxanne.
The atmosphere is rakish, and you got the feeling that everybody knows each other, which means that they are the loyal customers who feel at case at “Roxanne”. Roxanne, a location opened in April 2007, has also a little sister on Drumul Taberei called Tabara Dacilor.
Roxanne has an advantageous central position, ensuring catering for Unirii, Tineretului and Marasesti area. What goodies do we eat today? You can count on a wide range of dishes with Romanian or international trait, plus 14 types of pizza. The barbecue, the steaks, the stocks are in power, seconded by pasta, dishes based on fish, cold or warm snacks. The maximum period of time settled as a general rule for the preparation of any command is 20 minutes.
 Taking a tour round the restaurant we discover two lounges with distinct design and functionality, plus the terrace – the place that all the visitors aim at during summer. The spacious upstairs lounge is modern, dressed in festive settings, intended for special events. Downstairs we enter a location with small accents inspired by the Delta’s vegetation.
The ceiling and some of the walls have been lined with thatch, and the light is ensured by lamps with rush skirts. On each table there are candles that flicker romantically and in the hand-made paintings you can admire the traditional peasant houses. The design intends to make you think of a pastoral celebration and the chairs are dressed with golden knots ready for party anytime. The fiddlers from Roxanne will sing folk music, light music and party music after 8 p.m.
Let’s play havoc with the menus, for the appetite and curiosity are big. We order what is most tasty and bears the signature of the house, namely a “Tigaie picanta Roxanne” (A spicy Roxanne frying pan), a loin (with green pepper and white wine sauce) and cabbage with pork barrel, accompanied by the golden wine of the house Roxanne (semi-dry – white and red). Our dessert option was inspired – a sensational strudel with apples and ice-cream.
Ask for the prices, we have only praising words. You will take out of your pocket: 6,5 RON for the stock, 13 RON for the pizza, 12 Ron for the chicken schnitzel, 5 lei for the dessert. With 4 RON you can invigorate yourself with a coffee and with 3,2 RON you can take another beer.
The success of the important events of your life also depends on the location that you choose for them. Searching for information about some aspects relating the organization of the events, we find out in detail that Roxanne welcomes the merry-makers with menus comprising prices which start from 50 RON. In order to take a load off your mind, you should also tick the options regarding the classical arrangements, the cheerful balloons, the chocolate fountain or the pub’s band. Surround yourself with friends and have fun until morning.
