An interesting place attracts interesting people. Planters has a clear-cut, claimed, magnetic personality. Lacking the usual stiffness and rigours of a central pub, it lures you to take a relaxation break by giving up the classical doors and windows in favour of some flexible plastic ones.
 Zip-zip- zip… You open the zip from the entrance and you step into the fusion ambient, where there is enough room for casks and glory-boxes, pirate chests, rattan armchairs, Persian carpets, plasma with painting frames and little ships engraved on radiant sconces.
Everything is more than familiar, each visitor feels at ease minding his own business untroubled, whether he reads, navigates on the Internet or drinks his coffee, whiskey, the tea of the house, and so on.
When time allows, the so-called windows disappear and, beginning with May, carpets on which you can lie down to your heart’s content are laid outside. The sensation is very pleasant. You lounge as you were at home, listening to the 60-80s music.
 The tables are arranged at a common-sense distance, so that you can discuss untroubled, the intimate atmosphere being increased by the rush light. In the evening there is the highest concentration of visitors, so it’s good to make a reservation.
We know this place since 2002, when the Planters brand arrives in Romania, becoming a reference café for downtown Bucharest.
For Planters expat friendly is a phrase which has a correspondent in real life.
Many foreigners like the atmosphere created here and the Planters „crew” speaks English, French and Italian fluently, providing an almost flawless service.
This is a nonconformist place, with mixed ornamental objects and a design which involuntarily makes you think of a ship with pirates and mermaids. The Planters mermaids are hand picked and make the most appropriate recommendation from the menu.
With an international trait, the menu written in English tells us about salads, grilled chicken, beef, pasta and sandwiches throughout several pages. Planters provides an excellent chabatta with olives and corn. The two types of cakes (chocolate with vanilla / forest fruits) are made in-house.
As for the liquids, we can find Italian premium coffee and a special refreshing tea for the warm season. Some of the dainties for which we guarantee are: the Waldorf or Planters salads, sandwich with tunny fish, hot chocolate Eracleea and Jamaican coffee.
