Touristic Potential
The Land of Vrancea, former land of Putna, placed at the extremity of the Curvature Carpathians(centre-east), is also at the crossing between the Siret Plain and the Danube Plain, namely at the junction of the historical regions of Moldavia, Transylvania and Wallachia.
With idyllic sights, superb villages, frozen in time and tradition, Vrancea is a land where freedom and strenght come out from the rocks of the mountains.
With rich vineyards and orchards, and peasants who measure time according to the work they have to do, we found here a place that is great both for introspection and active leisure, with exhausting hikings or hunting.And after a walk, a good home-made wine is always welcomed, or an Odobesti wine, an important centre of wine, with more than 2500 ha of vineyards.If we are talking about wine, we must mention the Panciu wine cellar, where,in a 3km cellar, the sparkling red wine awaits for its time to come.
Also in Vrancea county, at Marasti,it was built the Mausoleum of Romanian Heroes from the first world war.People fond of agrotourism will be impressed by the high development that this branch has experienced, and they can take a tour of the labours of a rural house.
The place with the most increased seismic activity, Vrancea will make you quake due to the poetry of the sights, which is worth the longest road only to be seen.
